Fumiko Nakajō : ウィキペディア英語版 | Fumiko Nakajō Fumiko Nakajo (中城ふみ子 ''Nakajō Fumiko'', real name 野江富美子 ''Noe Fumiko'', November 25, 1922 in Obihiro, Hokkaidō – August 3, 1954 in Sapporo) was a tanka poet. She died at the age of 31 after a turbulent life and a great struggle against breast cancer — all recorded in her poetry. There are memorials to her at the Tokachi Gokoku Shrine, beside the Obihiro Shrine, and behind the Obihiro Centennial Memorial Hall. ==Film== "Chibusa yo Eien Nare" (The Eternal Breasts), the story of Nakajo, was directed by Kinuyo Tanaka and starred Yumeji Tsukioka, Ryoji Hayama, and Yoko Sugi. It was made in black and white in 1955 by Nikkatsu.
